By creating a schedule, you will be routinely doing it. Therefore, it can turn into a habit which in turn will be incorporated in your day to day lives which will be easier to follow.

Find external support and motivation

It could be to be able to fit into that amazing dress you bought a few years back, it can be to be able to have that revenge body, or it can be the support from your workout buddy, or even your personal trainer. Finding something for motivation and someone for support is extremely helpful in motivating yourself to exercise.
